I made a movie to practise a little with, all went good buth when exporting to avi i got an over 2 gb movie and its less than 45 seconds long…
when exporting to .mov i got it to 15 mb but still thats huge for such a short movie and it wasnt even good quality.
could anyone give me some pointers to what settings to use for a simple export, avi or mov,

    thnx

It sound like you haven’t been playing with your codec settings. For DV, try using the Quicktime PAL DV codec, or the DV codec that corresponds to the capture card you are using (if any). If you are looking for small (say web-friendly size), try Quicktime’s Sorenson 3 (in QT6), or H.264 (in QT7) – for windows, try a wmv file.
