  • Decoding DVD data for editing

I`m sure it’s been asked before, but I just couldn’t find it.

I have a regular DVD, authored by a client. I need both the picture and the audio off that DVD. The picture’s no problem, open with Quicktime, export in my desired codec, etc. But how do I get the audio out of those muxed .vob files?

    Many thanks in advance.

    hey there

there are several programs available, DVxDVD is great and you can buy it online at the LAFCPUG website. OR you could use MPEG Streamclip – which is great and FREE!!! I use both and find them really great quality.

How do you open the .vob file in Quicktime?
