There were quite a few posts last year with people complaining that there was an intermittent problem with embedded timecodes and pictures becoming out of sync. It seems to have gone rather quiet on the subject so i was wondering if the bugs had been fixed for everyone else or if people got tired of talking about it?

I am still having problems with the latest (6.8.3) drivers.

    Regards,
    Chris

    Chris,

take a look down a couple of lines down at the “Premiere does not shut down” post and you will see there are STILL problems with timecode, at least as far as capturing in PremPro CS3 goes.

I personally am shocked at how buggy the Decklilnk drivers are. I thought Decklink was a professional product, but it seems to me that unless you can limit yourself to one or two features of the card, you are bound to run into trouble.

That said, let us hope that BMD invests more reasources in engineering and less in marketing, so that one day such basic components like TIMECODE work like they should.

    good luck, ninetto
