Decklink support for 1080/23.98P
Trying to figure this out… Decklink cards generally have great compatibility despite having no official tech support – if it fits in your computer, it seems like it’ll work with the latest drivers. However…
I thought all HD Decklink cards supported 1080/23.98P, they definitely all have some kind of a “P or PsF” switch in the driver. But I got a Decklink HD Extreme (gen.1, BMDPCB29 REV-B) that completely ignored that setting, no matter what. 1080/23.98 video was always output as PsF and not P. Same behavior in different machines, different OS’s, different driver versions, etc. Since some monitors won’t take PsF (only P), this is a showstopper. Not sure if it’s a bad card or a “feature”…
Have you had that card and firmly remember/know it could spit out true Progressive 1080?
Which BM’s Decklink PCIe cards are limited to 1080/23.98PsF?
