  Decklink S/PDIF drops out while in FCP

  We are having an issue with hte S/PDIF output on the Decklink Pro HD 4:2:2
  interface card. We will be working in FCP5 and the all of a sudden the audio out of the S/PDIF output just drops out. Sometimes we can toggle the sound preference output in Mac OS (Mac OS X 10.4.2) and that will resolve the problem or we just have to restart the computer. Can some one give me an idea why this happens or has someone else experienced this
