Hi, I’m experiencing some problems with my Blackmagic Decklink. I tested this problem in two different Windows XP systems; from SP1 to SP3; and Dual Xeon / Dual Xeon Quad Core with different chipsets.

My current output setup is PAL, SD, through Sony PVM-2044QM monitor via components.

    Tested setup and working perfectly:
    Decklink drivers 5.8 & Quicktime 6.5.2 — OK
    Decklink drivers 5.8 & Quicktime 7.5.5 — OK

Tested setup and NOT working perfectly:
Decklink drivers 6.8.3 & Quicktime 7.5.5 — BAD QUALITY VIDEO

Also I tested a lot of Decklink drivers between 5.8 and 6.8.3 and all are displaying the “BAD QUALITY VIDEO PROBLEM”

    THE BAD QUALITY VIDEO PROBLEM
    When outputting video using:
    – Adobe Premiere 2.0 / Combustion 2008
    – Decklink drivers between 5.8 to 6.8.3
    – Component output
    – Quicktime 6.5.2 to 7.5.5
    – From TGA or PNG files.
The video is displayed with low quality, small flicker, poor alising, small jagged edges. It displays like the “preview” mode in Combustion.

This problem is very annoying, because I can’t upgrade to Premiere CS3 or CS4 when drivers will be available. Also note that I have the same problem in two different computer setups with fresh installations.

Also, I can’t remember what Decklink card I own (it’s an SP or PRO).

Any help will be welcomed!! Thanks a lot!!
