  • Decklink SDI for SD streaming – can I superimpose a graphic?

    Hi,

I am using a Declink SDI card to stream SD live events, and to stream replays after the event has finished.

I would like to add an on-screen graphic to say “Live” or “Recorded Earlier”.

Will I be able to do this on a single card – In other words, does the card put the overlay the graphic before the video gets to the streaming encoder or after?

    Thanks,

    C.

I have found that the answer is no! When you use the board as a streaming card, the LiveKey software tells you that the card is in use by another process.

I had a second decklink SDI card handy, so I now have one as the Keyer and one as the streaming card.
