Decklink Photoshop version on windows?
Hi
Since Blackmagic removed the extended desktop functionality of the decklink cards, we can not use MS Powerpoint to drive the HDSDI output anymore. We have to buy photoshop to drive the external display.
Can you please tell me which versions of photoshop can use the decklink plugin to drive the HDSDI output?
Photoshop elements?
Photoshop lightroom?
Photoshop CS4?
Photoshop CS4 Extended?Also – when using this functionality, where will you tell the decklink card what output fomat to use? PAL, NTSC, 720p, 1080i? and framerate?

You can use either Photoshop CS4 or Photoshop CS4 Extended.
Once you install the photoshop, reinstall our drivers and that should make sure the plugin is installed in the proper folder.
Once that’s done you should be good to go. Open up the preferences and set your output resolution to the appropriate selection. Then you can select to use the plugin through the “import/export” function.
Another option…and I don’t recommend this…in fact I recommend against it, is to go back to the last driver that supported Video Desktop…but…again, I don’t recommend it.
