    NEED HELP ASAP

I get a very nice picture moitoring from firewire in the NTSC DV (none Blackmajic codec) through my DSR30 while in After Effects. Good picture, Good Text.

But when working in 10 or 8bit uncompressed SD using ( BMD NTSC 8 or 10bit easy settup) and working in
AE 7.0 my Text & picture looks pixelated with lines (almost like it’s j a lower resolution, not enough Horizontal). My text in FCP 5.1.1 even looks better,

I need to sit down with a Client this monday , and don’t want them to see it is this way.

I’M SURE THIS IS ANCHIENT HISTORY BUT I CAN’t FIND IT IN THE SEARCH POSTS.

Hopfuly this is an easy fix,

    My system:

    Dual 2.7 G5
    OS 10.4.7
    FCP 5.1.1
    Decklink HDPro single
connected to component on my Sony PVM-204U monitor.
    Affter Effects 7.0
    Huge U320

    Hi

Resolution can be adjusted via Preferences > Output Quality – Faster and More Accurate.

To test – Export the same clip from FCP to After Effects and to Photoshop and compare.

If the issue persists please send a 1 frame sample of the originating file and I will review here.

Ensure you are using Decklink 5.7.2 in this test.

    Thanks Andrew,

    Just commin up for air.

My problem is not with final output (rendered movies), but with monitoring while working.
I have sent my pref. in AE Video out to Bet quality. but when I am working on a Comp. the Horizantal Lines distort/seperat. the imagae more than usual . And when I do a preview render in memory and the comp. is playing in realtime the picture is still lousy. The movies I render out play fine in FCP , I just wish they looked better in AE through My DECKLINK card infront of the client. When I’m use Firewire out in AE (DV project) It looks better than using BMD
card out at 10 and 8bit. it wasn’t this way with my DL PRO and DL EXTREME I have.

    G5 dual 2.7
    4Gig DDR
    the rest is above
    in my original post.
