August 28, 2010 at 10:56 amWe have the same problem in our studio with Decklink HD Pro, FCP and with Premiere CS5 too on new MAC PRO machine with 8 cores.
Constant crashes and hangs…
I have contacted support, and they say they know about the problem for Premiere, and they are still working on fix it….probably the same thing is with FCP….I guess it is a problem with Snow Leopard mostly and not with your hardware…..
Let us know what happened…..

You’ve attached your console log but it will be better to send the Final Cut crash log located here:

No changes, no help from Blackmagic tech support. For the moment I switch my Easy Setup to DVCPRO HD whenever I work with CG, Color Matts or Still Images – it’s a major pain but it’s workable. Long term I’m saving my money to buy an AJA board – it costs, but at least they have real tech support.

February 10, 2011 at 2:47 amI’m having a similar problem with my Decklink HD 3D card. It worked fine for a month outputting through HDMI to a monitor and then all of a sudden it crashed when i tried to play from the timeline. The BM driver 7.9.4, the OS is 10.6.6 and Final Cut 7.0.3. The monitor is an HP 25 inch 1920×1080 at 60hz.
I had to “Force Quit” Final Cut and then it wouldn’t open. I uninstalled the BM drivers and it opened fine. I reinstalled the BM drivers and it wouldn’t load. With all these posts, it is obvious something is wrong. If someone knows where there may be BM driver remnants after the uninstall let me know so I can delete them. Does anyone have an answer yet?
