    Hello.
I got my Decklink HD Pro preview in After Effects to work on an HD monitor, but now I am having problems getting it to work on my SD sony monitor.
This is the broadcast monitor that I usually use. I get the HD monitor only for checking final renders.

It is my understanding that the card downconverts automatically, so I must be getting the settiings wrong somewhere. I’ve got my cameraman husband here who is much more of a cables/connectors/monitors expert than I am and neither of us can figure it out.
I need to know how to set it up to preview either SDI or Component into the monitor…..settings for both when I’m working in 1920×1080 HD comps and also when I am working in 720×480 (or 720×486) SD comps.

I also need to figure out the easy setup settings in Final Cut to watch both HD and SD size animations on this monitor.

In AE, I’ve tried both SDI and Component connections to the monitor and I’ve tried the Blackmagic NTSC-RGB Output mode setting. I’ve also tried the Blackmagic HDTV 1080i, 29.97-RGB setting and the Blackmagic 10bit setting.

    Thanks for the help.
