I have a new card on a new system and could use a little help. The breakout cable has a connection for Black Sync “IN” so I assume the card needs a Black Sync signal input to it. Do I need to run the black sync to the card AND the SP deck or just to the card? Nothing in the documentation about this so I could use some guidance.

    Thanks!

    sync goes everywhere!

I cannot recall if the blackmagic device will automatically use the sync input. Make sure you check the application to ensure that if a sync option is available that it is enabled.

The same can be said for the deck as I have seen some which did not automatically enable the input or perhaps some nefarious individual disabled the option.

Yes, our products have automatic sync detection so if one’s connected, it will be used.
