Decklink Extreme Proc Amp

March 24, 2006 at 12:17 pmHi
I’m running a Decklink Extreme SD card and want to know if the Proc Amp settings in the Decklink control panel changes the analogue video before it is digitised, or is it a digital multiplication that is added after digitising the signal?
I have to push my PAL component signal by 1.33dB is the Proc Amp to get my color bars to line up, and if that happens after digitising, I’m only getting effective 6 bits resolution…

Hi,
The Pro Amp changes the analog video input before digitising. It is done via hardware and not software.
