  • Decklink Duo audio monitoring?

Recently installed a Decklink Duo in a Windows 7 box for a capture station and am mostly happy with it except for audio monitoring.

Is it possible to monitor the audio through the computer while capturing? We’ve poked through the Blackmagic and Windows control panels without finding anything, although my Windows skills are limited.

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

    Hi Terry,

When the card is capturing, audio does not get passed on to the system so you can’t monitor it via your computer audio system. However, the E-E output of the card will work so if you need to monitor audio and have a DeckLink card with only SDI outputs, you can de-embed the audio via our SDI to Audio Mini Converter.

Thank you Kristian. I was afraid this might be the case. Did I miss this in the Duo product description? If it’s not there I would suggest adding a caveat stating that audio can’t be monitored without additional hardware.

    Thanks.
