DeckLink Driver 5.5.1 and 6.6.4
I’m using DeckLink Extreme for a while. Recently I check Blackmagic Design website and found the driver section.
My question is,
What’s the different between 5.5.1 and 6.6.4?I know that newer should be better than the older one.
But since my 5.5.1 is working well, I wonder that should I upgrade or not? I also working on some unfinish projects and afraid that if I decide to upgrade, they might be problem with my projects.So I’d like to know the different between 5.5.1 and 6.6.4 for decision making.
If there’s nothing much or it’s something that I didn’t use / have problem. I might wait for a while.Thank you in advance

my experience with BM is that if it aint broke dont fix it!! new bm drivers often cause me headaches..

Thank del, that’s what I think.
But I also have problem with DV PAL capture which will lost a few frame for every clips. Does this fix in the later version?

I doubt that an update would fix that, but you can try it. when i’ve loaded bad BM drivers i’ve gotten serious vtr control issue’s etc. you can always downgrade the BM software if the new one doesn’t work. Dropped frames usually is a drive read/write problem. defrag your drive etc..
