I have a Multibridge Eclipse with a MacPro 8core. I have to give QuickTime files to clients captured uncompressed 8 bit for example.
Will they have any problem playing this file? Do they need thwe Decklink CODEC ?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello,

I am not to sure on the MAC maybe, if they do they can just download thenDecklink software for the MAC form the Blackmagic site then its installs the codecs.

Well, on the Mac for 8bit uncompressed we use the native QT codecs. So as long as you have QTPro or FCP installed they will be able to play it without issue.

If they do not, then they would simply need to install the Decklink Drivers on the machine (don’t worry the drivers won’t do anything without the board) and that will install the codecs for them to use.

    Sincerely,
