    Aloha,

I have a JVC BR-HD50 deck connected via RGB to a JVC 19″ HD CRT connected via RGB to a Decklink Multibridge (first gen) connected via SDI to a Decklink HD PCI card in a dual 2.5Ghz G5 running OSX 10.4.11.

I capture SD all the time and view HD with this set-up daily, so I know the equipment is connected correctly and works.

I am trying to capture 1080i60 footage as Prorez HQ.

The deck plays the tape fine.

The JVC monitor displays the picture at 1080i just fine.

FCP 6.0.2 controls the deck just fine and captures a nice clean picture.

The problem is the file is at half resolution. So instead of 1920×1080 the file is 960×540.

I tried capturing a 720p signal and it was also captured at half resolution.

I have double checked every setting. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

If I capture to Motion JPEG I get full 1920×1080 resolution.

Is this problem because my card is too old? If I get a Black-Magic Intensity card and capture thru HDMI will I be able to get full rez?

    Mahalo,
    Dusty
