DeckLink 4k Extreme problem (MAC). Davinci Resolve Lite 9.1.3 can’t run.
Posted by Serafim Salnikov on May 8, 2013 at 11:29 pmJust sold my AJA kona LHi and bought this amasing card to replace AJA in my Color Grading workflow.
DeckLink 4k Extreme works perfect in FCP7
(but i confused about the absence of ability to capture/playback native 25P footage, only 50i)BUT Davinci Resolve Lite crushes on the Initializing Screen.
I download the latest available drivers and reinstall Davinci to 9.1.3 but nothing changes.
About 2 seconds on Initializing screen and nothing else.
No error codes. No system messages. No system error report and relaunch windows.Help me please!

May 9, 2013 at 3:26 pmJust reinstalled drivers and davinci in different combinations.
Reinstalled OS from original 10.8.3 disk.

Installing the drivers make it impossible to run DaVinci! -

May 9, 2013 at 5:03 pmI solve the problem!
Now I’m happy! The latest driver (downloaded from Support page) not working for me, but with previous version of Desktop Video (9.7) All works FINE
Problem is 9.7.1 driver!DO NOT follow the recommendations in brochure that you found in the box with your new card!
Don’t download the Latest software!
First try to install drivers and software from disk in a box!!!
Thanks ALL! -

May 10, 2013 at 10:12 amHello!
I was too early to rejoice!Problem remains even with 9.7 drivers!
After loading FCP 7 with Davinci launched I saw an error in FCP that Video output device is busy!!
Davinci worked normally till i quit it.
Next times i tried to launch Davinci i saw only Initializing screen!Davinci not working AGAIN!!!

May 10, 2013 at 4:12 pmTotally not working!
Just reinstall OS 10.8.3
Install Davinci (first app to clean system, on internal hard drive):
Desktop video driver 9.7 from disk (yesterday Davinci works with this version for about 40-50 minutes).
Davinci can’t launch!
Only Initializing screen.Uninstall All
Repair permissions.
Install Davinci + today released, newest Desktop video driver 9.7.2
No good!Do same with ver. 9.7.1 No good too!
I know. Problem is in Desktop driver or in Davinci but not in my MacPro!!!
It worked, not for a long time, BUT IT WORKED NORMALLY ON MY MAC yesterday!

May 10, 2013 at 4:57 pmProblem is your graphics card. Get a supported graphics card and it will work. Check the Resolve Config Guide for more information.

May 11, 2013 at 1:04 amI’m not dude.
BMD support assured me that they tested mac configurations same as i have an all works fine.
I think the card i have isn’t correct because of:Davinci perfectly works without BM Decklink for more than year!
Today after hundreds of reinstalling Decklink driver versions it work again!
After restart, after FCP launch and other. But now there is one more strange problem that i haven’t before!!!
Down-converted Component output to SD works not stable.
Rather it works occasionally.
Some times when i randomly turns on and off output processing and swap output modes from component to composite in control panel it begins work correct.
After sleep/restart of my Mac i see only black screen with random stripes / or no sync / or some randomly changing and coloring figures on my SD monitor.
But my TV Logic monitor connected by sdi work perfect in HD the same time!
