  • Deck Rewinding problem while digitizing

I’m digitizing DVCPRO HD to a Lacie 800GB drive. I’ve done this before with no problem. I’m digitizing from a AJHD-130 (Grandfather of the AJ1200A) and it rewinds to the beginning of the tape for each clip after I’ve set up Batch Digitize. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

You mean after every clip it captures, the machine will rewind to the head? That is pretty strange. Are you using the Panasonic controls settings for machine control? That’s about the only thing I can think of.

Is your timecode ascending or did you break timecode and mix higher and lower timecode hours?

The timecode on the tapes are fine. I checked my settings in the Kona Preferences and they seem fine. It’s really weird. I’ve never encountered this problem before. Could it be a deck setting?

Kevin does not have this problem, and if you Time Code is ok (I’d check it again, as suggested in previous post), I’d ask Kevin if he changed anything.
That is pretty strange. David Nixon is also using the HD-130 with no problems.
