Deck control over long lengths
Hey all i wondering how large multi room facilities handle deck control to machine rooms.
i want to share one digibeta with two rooms – (each with a miltibridge pro) i have an 422 AB switch – and i am wondering if there is a better solution then running a 100 ft RS422 cable to the 2nd room?
is there a good Rs422- to Ethernet solution?

I have been using ethernet cable for 10 years for RS422 control.
It works fine, and 100′ for RS422 is NOTHING !you use RJ45-9 pin adaptors. You can get them from
https://www.milestek.com
and others.
This is the wiring color code I use (there is no soldering – you just push the pins into the holes on the 9 pin) –1 Red
2 Orange
3 Black
4 Green
5 nothing
6 Brown
7 Blue
8 Yellow
9 Gray (or white)Bob Zelin
