    Hi there,

we recently added another G5 and used Apple’s little upgrade utility to copy everything to the new system, and the old system moved down the food chain. Problem is that now the old system has the same FCP serial as the new. What do I have to trash to get it to allow me to enter the correct serial for this computer?

    Thanks
    Chris

Just don’t use FCP on the old computer. If you still want to use it, you’ll have to purchase another coy of FCP. Otherwise, you’ll have to delete the copy of FCP on the old computer. You can contact Apple to see what they suggest and if they will sell you just a serial number, but I’m pretty sure that you;ll have to purchase another full copy.
