  “Death of CRT monitors” rumors unfounded?

  I notice both Sony & JVC (probably Panasonic & Ikegami, too; I haven’t checked) have announced new CRT monitors at NAB.

  So I guess all the pre-show rumors of the death of CRTs was unfounded/premature? I wonder if it was prompted by the new “lead free” EU requirements, which caused models to be refreshed, or ?

  In any event, looks like there’ll be various CRT monitors available for quite some time, thank goodness.
