Dealing with overexposed bleached out whites
Just on the off change anyone has a cunning plan for this;). I have footage shot on a PD150 which is overexposed. It a Funk performance and there is some whiteout on the head where the performers are sweating. Apart from using levels to reduce the Gamma and adjust the other sliders with a scope any recommendations?
Also is it the Luminance Scope I should be using or have I got this wrong.

Anything adjusting the gamma will change the entire image. I use curves when I need to limit the change to a particular range of tones.

you can duplicate that track, mask, and then adjust a bit on the top trck, but once something is blown, detail is gone and can only be faked.
