De-Interlacing footage from Sony Z5
Hi everyone,
I’m having a bit of a weird issue I haven’t come across before.
I am editing a video that consists of footage from 3 different cameras (two Sony’s and one DSLR), and the Sony Z5 footage is giving me a bit of a headache. It’s shot it 1080i and we have transcoded the footage from the camera file to a Apple ProRes quicktime file before the edit.
On the timeline you can see the interlacing lines (horizontal) when people move. I’ve right clicked on the clip and set it to “Always De-Interlace” under Field Options, but it still looks interlaced and also does so when rendering it out into a HD Vimeo video. In the render process I just selected the “H264 Vimeo HD” option.
Do I need to change the render settings as well?? Or is there any other way to de-interlace the footage?Thanks a lot in advance,

was the footage correctly transcoded to Prores with upper field?

Thanks a lot for your comment. We just noticed that it was actually not transcoded correctly and changed it, so problem solved.
