DCP-O-Matic/Premiere Output Gamma settings for 4k file
I’m using DCP-O-Matic 2 to create a DCP from a ProRes file of a 4k feature that was graded in and output from Premiere Pro CC2017.
In DCP-O-Matic’s output options, under “Colour conversion,” it’s my understanding that (for a Premiere export) Input Gamma should be set at 1.8, but at the bottom of that window, there is also an option to “Inverse 2.6 gamma correction on output”. This is checked by default, but I’m wondering if anyone here knows what this actually means. Do I leave it alone or uncheck it?
Thanks so much!
