    Greetings.

I have a client requesting that we take his 2048 x 1080 24fps MOV and convert it to a DCP MXF for a cinema server. Looking up DCP, the closest thing I can find is the Digital Cinema Initiative Package (DCP) and an entire list of specs. Has anyone worked with this file kind before? What does it take/what software do I need to make a DCP MXF for the client?

I am using a 2x 3Ghz Quad Core Intel Xeon Power Mac with a Kona 3 card, Mac OSX 10.5.8 and FCP 7.0.

    Thanks, guys!

I believe it will be JPEG2000 video and PCM audio wrapped in an MXF container. I am unaware of any Mac products to do this. Might have a look here:

There is a Compressor plugin, QuVis Wraptor, for such tasks. Just be aware the company went bankrupt a while ago so though they seem to continue selling Wraptor it might not work with the latest version of Compressor. there is also easyDCP Creator by Fraunhofer IIS but it’s more expensive.
