Davinci Resolve Crashing When importing MP4
Hi,
I’m trying to import a file I ripped off the internet, its a MP4, when I try and go File>Import and select it, then nothing happens then when I try and locate it in my media browser, the file says offline and when I try and drag it into my media browser, Davinci Resolve Crashes.
Specs of my MacBook

16GB DDR3 RAM
512GB SOLID STATE DRIVE
DUAL GRAPHICS PROCESSOR – NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 750M AND INTEL IRIS 5200
15″ LED BACKLIT RETINA DISPLAY (2880×1800)

Footage compressed for the web isn’t really suited for editing. You need to convert it to an editable format first. ProRes, DNxHD. And apparently not with Resolve, as we see it can’t handle it.
