  DaVinci Resolve 15 Public Beta 8 is now available as a free download from https://bmd.link/CWdTn9.

  Thank you to everyone who have used our previous betas and providing feedback as it’s very helpful for our ongoing stability and development. Please continue to report bugs with steps to repo, system information and diagnostic logs on the v15 beta sub forum and if you have a bug, please review the forum for similar issues in the specific beta build you are using before you start a new thread.

  Key features:
  Added support for preset library for equalizer, dynamics, plugins and global track properties in the Fairlight page
  Added support for performing an insert operation by holding Cmd/Ctrl+Shift while dragging clips from the media pool or source viewer
  Added support for an option to insert nested and compound clips in their decomposed state during edit operations
  Added support for creating clip annotations for a selected clip on the timeline from the timeline viewer
  Added support for processing Fusion compositions in linear gamma in color managed and ACES workflows
  Added support for changing clip color from the thumbnail context menu on the Color page
  Added support for changing clip color from the application menu on the Media, Edit and Color pages
  Added support for showing the bin name in the title bar of a floating Media Pool bin
  Added support for configuring the Fusion memory cache in the playback menu

  Issues Addressed:
  Media:
  Addressed an issue where blanking would not be rendered correctly when delivering to H.264
  Addressed an issue where previewing certain TIFF files would cause a crash
  Addressed issues with decoding R3D clips on the GPU when in Metal mode
  Addressed an issue where media pool metadata fields for Take and Scene could sometimes not be edited on clips with linked audio
  Addressed issues with stereo 3D renders when left and right eye clips were swapped

  Edit:
  Addressed an issue where performing cut on a clip would ripple the timeline if in and out marks were present on the Edit page
  Addressed an issue where selecting the ‘Select Nearest Clip To Slip/Slide’ option would not update the Slip/Slide icon correctly
  Addressed an issue where the position curve bezier handles could not be easily controlled on the Edit page
  Addressed an issue where blading and moving audio clips using shortcuts would not immediately follow the playhead

  Fusion:
  Addressed an issue where playback would work incorrectly with video field processing enabled on Fusion page
  Addressed an issue where Fusion tools would sometimes only process one field when video field processing is enabled
  Addressed an issue where enabling motion blur in a Transform tool on the Fusion page would sometimes cause a crash
  Addressed an issue where the 3-dot menus on the Fusion page would not open until the mouse button was released
  Addressed an issue where certain Fusion titles would not play in real-time even when cached
  Addressed an issue where performing corner pinning on a Fusion tracker would crash Resolve
  Addressed an issue where changing the 2D particle render view would cause a crash

  Addressed an issue where image artifacts could be seen on the edges of clips with transforms
  Addressed an issue where adjusting the track point size in ResolveFX Match Move would behave incorrectly
  Addressed an issue where selecting a clip with a transition would not jump to the first frame after the transition on the Color page
  Addressed a crash in dual output HDR mode when enabling the black and white highlight mode

  Fairlight:
  Addressed an issue where audio playback on the source viewer would result in corrupted playback
  Addressed an issue where audio playback would work incorrectly when using Blackmagic playback devices for monitoring in Linux
  Addressed an issue where audio clips would sometimes lose sync when a clip pitch shift was applied
  Addressed an issue where applying pan presets for mono tracks to a stereo track would produce incorrect pan settings
  Addressed an issue where live previews of audio clips would behave incorrectly if the waveform viewer was visible in the Media page
  Addressed an issue where adding nested timelines with FairlightFX De-Esser would sometimes cause a crash
  Addressed an issue where the Audio FX icon would only be displayed on the first track of a linked group
  Addressed an issue where a Fairlight preset would only get applied to the first of any selected tracks
  Addressed an issue where multi-channel pan settings would sometimes not be loaded correctly
  Addressed an issue where some Fairlight dialogs could not be fully viewed on small screens
  Addressed an issue where dropping multiple Audio FX onto a track in a linked group would not correctly add all the effects

  General:
  Addressed an issue where audio playback would stutter when using system audio devices in Linux
  Addressed an issue where timeline thumbnails in the media pool would sometimes not be loaded for non-current timelines
  Addressed an issue where a delivery preset could not be created unless a timeline was present
  Addressed an issue where a render job would sometimes not render the entire timeline when the length of the timeline would change
  Addressed an issue where clicking on a selected render preset would not correctly update the settings
  Addressed an issue where cache for certain clips would be lost on application restart
  General performance and stability improvements
