Hello all, we are pleased to announce the release of DaVinci Resolve 10.1.3 for Mac, Windows and Linux OS. Existing customers can download the no charge release from our support web site. There is also a Resolve Lite for Mac and Windows version for download.

    This release includes
    • Color page GUI performance improvement when using Mavericks
    • Update to RED SDK 4.6, which includes support for Dragon OLPF and Rocket-X when using RED ONE clips
    • GPU debayer Preferences option for RED RAW clips
    • Support for ‘Content Kind’ selected in the DCP composition name dialog
    • Stereo Decision List import for ColorTrace

There is no database update required so the upgrade should be quick and easy.

    Hello,

Great news, does it mean that Davinci will be able to play 5K R3D files fulldebayer realtime (like in the preview version of Adobe Premier) ?

Amazing! Is the GPU debayer multi-GPU enabled?

Anxious to try this out! 10.1.3 seems to install but crashes on launch every time. Any thoughts why this might be? I’m on Mavericks 10.9.2 on a nMP.

Awesome. Mac Pro 12 core 2.4 one titan in cubix. 4k r3d full premium realtime 23.98 with grade and blur.
    5k only 17fps.
With two titans in cubix 5k still only 17fps.
    OS 10.8.5

With the right hardware. Most certainly.

You need to take a holistic approach. In this case the CPU is the bottleneck. You need both a fast CPU and highend GPU. But if you can get a good combo (lots of CPU cores help) the results are pretty jaw dropping. 🙂

Can anyone comment on the order of operations used now for R3D debayer if both are used at the same time w/each other. For example if I were to use a Red Rocket and Two Titans in a cubix and enabled both for R3D debayer, would they work in tandem or would the rocket override the two titans? Anyone tried this? (I’m thinking I’ve got a red rocket that’s pretty much useless now…alas the day was coming I suppose)
