Several of the images that I have dropped into my timeline have gone dark (black). The space is still held in the timeline but the image is dark. Once I move them and then put them back in their place in the timeline, they reappear. But again will go dark. I thought that it was the rendering process that made them go dark but they go dark without rendering. It happens to maybe 20 out of say 100 – 150 images. Any ideas?

This is a known bug in PPro 1.0, that I thought was fixed in 1.5. Check on the size of the images, try to keep them below 2000×2000 and it helps. I’ve also heard that the problem isn’t as bad when using tif’s instead of say jpegs or bmp’s. hope this helps

Thanks for your comments. I reduced the size and saved as a tif but that didn’t help. I am actually using Premiere 6.0. Could that have been a bug in 6.0? It’s a pretty fatal problem if so.
