    Hello Dan,

first of all thanks for your reply (https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/2/898387?).
I tried like you suggested and it works fine if I want to do an arc of parented layers as pipeline segments.
My problem is that I need a ship to drive by and the layers appear horizontal on the ship, then sink down in an arc and end up horizontal on the seabed.
Since pictures say more than words here is a link to a rough sketch of what the compostion should look like:

Can this also be done with parenting and scripting if I only animate the position properties of the first parent segment to sink down to the ground and then do the rest only by animating rotation of the child-segments? Or is this something that need to be tweaked by hand?

    Thanks for your help,

    Karim
