  • Damaged Library – Auto Backup Failure

After replacing the system drive in my Mac Pro (early 2009) and restoring from Time Machine, I ran into a Damaged Library.

I tried to restore the Library from the Final Cut Backups folder (in the Movies folder) but the Library icon was missing. I then went into Time Machine and found the file size of the restored Library was smaller than the one in Time Machine. I copied the version in Time Machine, replacing the Damaged Library.

When checking the Final Cut Backups folder, the Library folder still does not contain the Library icon, just the “.flexolibrary.plist”

    Any thoughts? Suggestions?

The Apple authorized repair shop installed the new Seagate 1TB drive running OS 10.11.6 (El Cap) which they keep on hand for cases like mine.

    Processor: 2.66 Ghz Quad
    Memory: 8 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4870 512 MB
