Cycle through a list?!
Posted by Maria Smith on January 24, 2018 at 2:09 pmHow do I cycle through a list in After Effects without having to open the list and then click for every option? I thought I only had to have my cursor on the list and then scroll, but apparently not…
For example, I want to cycle through all the available LUTS in Lumetri Color:

January 24, 2018 at 2:25 pmDoes your mouse have a wheel or some sort of scrolling surface on it? That might do the trick.

January 24, 2018 at 4:59 pmI think I understand what you’re hoping to do, but as far as I know there is no way to have any Adobe product give you a preview of the effect as you mouse over them in a selection window. This is one place (among many) where Adobe is behind the times in functionality and ease of use.
Unlike in Photoshop (and After Effects), where you must similarly apply a blending mode before seeing its affect on your image, Affinity Photo gives you a preview of the effect as you mouse over the options in the mode window, which certainly makes using the program quicker and easier to use. We can only hope that Adobe starts learning from its competitors rather than always assuming that it sets the standard.

Hope is not a strategy! When something doesn’t work the way you want it to, please consider filing a feature request:
