    Hello,

I’ve been asked to cut a theatrical movie trailer and I’d like to ask what the best work flow is to work offline. This is what I was thinking.

    Theatrical Film Version:

The final print will have to be transfered to a DI and then down converted to DV for an off-line edit.

After the final trailer is approved it will be on-lined and then transfered back to Film.

I’m also wondering what the issues will be in terms of frame rates..

    Digital Version:

The final print will be telecined to HD 1080P Video and down converted to DV for an offline edit. The final edit will then be on-lined at a facility and then transfered to HDSR as a master and then copies can be made in other various formats.

This is off the top of my head and need advice!

    Thanks!
