I’m glad it helped a bit but it sounds like you’ve taken it as far as you can unless you get an SSD which would be 5x faster still.

Have you tried converting to Sony XAVC Intra? This should edit smoothly in Vegas Pro as long as the rest of your computer is up for spec for 4K.
