  • Cut at markers all at once?

Posted by John Keith on March 19, 2010 at 2:11 pm

Using DV Stop/Start Detect, you get markers added to the clip at camera on/off points, great for sequential editing, but the markers are in the clip, not the timeline, so you still have to move the cursor to each one to cut.

Is it possible to cut them all at once, or jump in the timeline to markers that are in the clip?

    I’m if FCP 6.0.6, fwiw

    Thanks!

    Hi John!

Once the clip is in the timeline if you select it (click on it) then you can use shift and the up and down cursor keys to go back and forth between markers on the clip.
To cut it you can either use the blade

    OR

Control V will cut a clip where ever the playhead is.

    hope this helps!
