Posted by Jerry Black on June 15, 2007 at 3:00 amWhere can I find how to change the default screen colors for adding more contrast and definition to the workspaces?
Thanks

June 15, 2007 at 3:34 amI assume you’re talking about the Background Color. Under the Composition menu there’s a Background Color option. There’s also a shortcut which I believe is cmd-shift-B (Mac) or ctrl-shift-B (PC), but I’m not positive as I’m not near a copy of AE right now…
If you’re talking about the interface, then look in preferences. You can set the brightness of the panels in one of those preference options, check the documentation (F1).

thanks for the suggestions. I am trying to darken the medium gray screens that are default in AE and change the color of the text or lables in the program so that there is more contrast.
If there are additional places I need to look or other tweeking necessary to accomplish what I desire to do, please let me know.
Much thanks for your input!

June 15, 2007 at 4:28 pmthere are preferences for both… one is ‘label colors’ the other is ‘user interface colors’. in the user interface colors you can also choose ‘effects label colors’… by unchecking that and dimming the panel background, you can generate more contrast between the background and labels.
