  Custom transitions for Premiere CS4?

  I am trying to do more creative transitions than the stock ones shipped with Premiere.

  One effect that I am going for is a combination horizontal blur out/in, scale up/down, and push transition with blur on the colored edge separator.

  The one thing I can’t seem to get is a blur on the push transition effect (stock effect). How can I blur this effect so I don’t have the harsh line going across the middle of it?

  I’ve tried using a transparent video clip, but that does nothing when using any blur.

  Can someone help me achieve this effect, and possibly other ones like it – I want to create some sweet transitions!
