custom preroll problem
I am getting set to do a batch record, but when I do, I get this error message: “you cannot do this because the current preroll value for this deck would cause the preroll to be set to 00:00:00:00. Advance your IN point or set a custom preroll.”
so I set a custom preroll on my deck (which is my sony camcorder)to 3 sec because i don’t know how much preroll will fix it, i’m just picking 3 seconds for no reason. But I still keep getting this message.
Can someone please help me figure out what they are trying to tell me, and how to fix this.

When you are in the Digitize tool; have you clicked on “check decks” to load up a template for your camera. For instance, I still use my old digital 8 camera for weekend shooting and the Avid doesn’t list my exact camera, but I’ve chosen a template that is similar and it works just fine. I also have it do a “quick cue” and then, if i need to do I do a custom pre-roll.
