Custom Lens flares via s_lensflare.text
I saw that you can make your own lens flares via the s_lensflare.text file (at least in IRIX, not sure about other platforms)
Has anyone had experience with it? I need to get my head around it, as scripting is not my thing. But just wondered if anyone had success… and courious if there were enough that could be shared, like a community project?

Hi, BKM. Yes, it can be done on any platform. It’s not for the faint of heart or the scripting novice, but it’s not that difficult either. The best way to start is to read the documentation in that file, and then copy an existing flare (from its begin line through its end line) to the end of the file, change the name, and start playing with it. Unless you’re on Discreet, you generally need to restart the host app to reload the modified lens flares.
