  • Cursor hangs when moving control points

    Hi,

First of all, I am using a Wacom pen tablet on a Dual 2Gig G5, OS-X 10.4.5, 3 Gigs Ram, AE 7.0 Pro with only the plugins and filters that ship with the program installed.

I don’t know if this is a bug or a feature. In trying to adjust a camera move, when I switch to top view and try to adjust the control points of the camera’s motion path, the cursor stalls due to some cpu intensive activity. When AE finishes whatever it is doing and I try to move the control point again with the pen, something happens that kills the pen tablet’s driver. Neither the pen nor the Wacom mouse used with the tablet will work until I restart the computer. I am, however, able to use a standard mouse connected via a USB cable.

Has anyone encountered anything like this, and do you have any advice?

(I’m going to try switching the view to wireframe before I try again, but I want to post this before I crash my system again.)

    Thanks,

    Lars

    Hmmm…

Switching to wireframe mode seemed to do the trick.
