Curious: Interlace Lines in 24Pa footage and project
Odd little problem I’m hoping someone can help me out with. I am seeing what I call “interlace lines” or lines that show centered around movement that are showing up in 24pa footage in a PPro 2.0 24p project.
Here is the odd part: it seems to only show up in half of the project, but all the footage was captured with the same settings.
Project: Canon XL2 set to 24p advanced (2:3:3:2) at 1/48 and 16:9. Shot using a LETUSXL 35mm lens adaptor and Canon FD 50mm SLR lens. Footage looks great, but for some reason a part of the footage is showing the interlace lines in the footage and the other part ins’t.
Final strange part: I had originally captured the footage a week ago, did a quick burn to DVD and all was fine (no “interlace lines”). Harddrive crashed, so I recaptured the footage (into the same project settings) and now half has the lines showing up when there is movement.
As I am a little confused I would appreciate any help. Also, if someone knows the proper term for my “interlace” lines, I would like to learn. Thanks crew!
