I’ve run into a problem with image sequences named the Maya way: filename_vn.nnnn.EXT

If I have an image sequence named rollercoaster v6.nnnn.exr, and I don’t pick the first 0000 frame (like I pick any random frame in-between the first and last), AE returns an error that it can’t find “rollercoaster_v6.0.exr” I only get this problem with periods between the filename and image number. Using a space, hyphen, underscore

I’ve also found that AE is really slow importing image sequences if there isn’t a separator between the filename and number. For example: rollercoaster0000.exr takes much longer to import than roller coaster_0000.exr or rollercoaster 0000.exr

Is this a bug? Does this still exist in CC?
