    Hi All…

Well, I just authored my “FIRST” DVD using Encore. The project was edited it in Adobe Premiere CS6. I was working with 1920 x 1080 DSLR footage. I did a Dynamic Link timeline workflow into Encore. Everything I saw indicated the DVD would be (720×480). I used all the default settings hoping the quality would be acceptable, and it is not.

I could use some encouraging advice everyone. Can I do ANYTHING with the bit-rate or some other setting to help?

    Best Sunday Afternoon Regards!!

    frank,
SD-NTSC DVD is 720×480, and if you have been editing 1080-material it´s like crap in your eye – you get hurt when you see SD vs HD. 😀

you´ll get the best SD-resolution if you are going to scale down first prior SD-MPEG2-encoding using a high quality downscale-tool. after effects could do a good job on it.

    don´t use HD-content within encore to create a SD-DVD.

    cheers

    Thanks Danny…

Scaling down will be a first for me… I’ll check it out.

    Best Morning Regards!
