    cs5 save issues – takes forever

    Hi, having a problem with AE CS5. Saving a file is taking forever (2 minutes).

    I’m saving to an internal drive,
    I tried saving to an external drive
    I tried saving to a network.
    I’ve updated to 10.0.1.19

    Im on mac osx 10.6.6

    Anyone else having this problem? It’s killing me!

    How much RAM do you have? How long has this problem been occuring? Did it start suddenly? Have you tried resetting your AE preferences?
    Have you tried turning your computer off and on again?

    So it turns out that I had a floating license server for Reelsmart motion blur and for some reason this was causing the problem. I removed RSMB and it all went back to normal. I was tipped off to the problem when I tried to apply RSMB to footage and it was taking forever to process the simplest of blur. I got in touch with RE:Vision and they helped me sort out the problem.
