CS5 Preview Stutters with Quardo Card
I just recently installed a Quadro 3800 card in my pc. I am using the DVI and one of the Display ports with adapter for my pair of monitors. I am running CS5 and Windows 7 64-bit. It was running fine with a pair of basic video cards with no problems, but now that I have installed the Quadro card the preview stutters or jumps frames (backwards I think) every second or so. I have read all of the threads on stuttering video, I have made sure the latest drivers are installed, I checked setting for Mercury and hardware, everything seems correct. I did notice it only does this on certain files types but not others. I also use Vegas and tried a couple of graphic intensive games with the new card and everything else is working great.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Chuck,
This may go against reason, but check the preview settings in the monitor window – I think default is 1/2 resolution. It will play smoother at FULL, at least that is my experience with CS5 and AVCHD clips.
