CS5 and Choppy AVCHD playback
I just got a Sony NEX-FS700 and am working with AVCHD for the first time. I bring the entire Private folder into Premiere via “Import Folder.” The resulting .mts files play, but seem to be twitching once every second in both the Source and Program monitors. If I play the footage through Finder / Quicktime, it plays beautifully.
I am running a Mac 10.8.2 w/ 16GB or RAM and an i7 processor.
Is there a way to edit AVCHD footage in Premiere CS5? Do I need to upgrade to CS6? Thank you!

I seem to be having a similar problem with CS6 on OSX Mountain Lion.
