  • CS5 After Effects / Premiere not recognizing Blackmagic codecs

I’m working with quicktimes pulled from our DOREMI V1 UHD deck.
With After Effects and Premiere CS3, I was able to use this footage by installing Decklink 7.2.2. (This is what DOREMI recommends)

Now with CS5 it will not let me import the footage, I have installed DeckLink 7.9(which has CS5 support) but still cannot import footage into either program. I can open the footage with quicktime, but the Adobe products do not recognize it.
I’m guessing this has something to do with the 64bit environment and the codecs not being properly installed into the CS5 environment.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    -B

I’ve had a similar problem before.. is the video black… or all kinds of crazy pink and purple nonsense??? Either way try getting an older version of the Decklink drivers… I’ve had to go back many versions before to get it to work correctly.

The higher they fly… the much.

Have you upgraded AE CS5? The upgrade fixed a lot of issues.

After Effects or Premiere won’t let me import the file at all. So not seeing anything.
I tried using the Black Magic Decklink 7.2.2 ( the one that worked in CS3), but Windows 7 would not let me install it. So yes I’ve upgraded to CS5, but that’s where I’m having difficulty.
    Thanks
