Seems like this would be a logical month for Adobe to release CS5 – plenty of time to get the buzz going before NAB. This could be an exciting year with full 64-bit apps on both platforms, especially if Apple puts all its energy into getting Ipad out the door, and allows FCP to languish for another year.

I’m personally looking forward to the “Export Direct” button (seen on some of the “sneek peek” videos released by Adobe), and I’m fervently hoping for increased stability within the import and export modules, and (finally) the ability to handle large HD projects.

    Am I being overly optimistic?

OK, I’ll respond to my own question:

Well answered – I’ll love not be limited in project size – or at least I would love to make an 30 min HD project.

I just got the email that I’m sure many of you also received announcing the CS5 Launch Event on April 12. I’ll be at NAB and will miss the online launch event, but I hope the demo hosts will be out in full force on CS5 starting that day.
