cs4 will not play video in real time on the time line
Posted by Frank Pate on February 23, 2009 at 3:16 pmI am a new user of CS4. It will not play video in real time on the time line. Audio is good and video will play in the source monitor correctly. I can export and burn DVD’s just fine. Any ideas?

February 23, 2009 at 10:35 pmI’ve got dual hard drives. I am shooting on a panasonic hmc70 it shoots in 1440×1080 hd. I am editing 30 second commercials. even when I don’t have raw footage on the time line if it is just a bunch of jpeg photos static with some transitions it won’t keep up with the audio.

February 25, 2009 at 11:41 amAre you trying to edit AVCHD?
I’ve found that CS4 has trouble with AVCHD and my system struggles.
I’ve heard, but haven’t tried, taking the footage into Adobe Media Encoder and changing to mpeg2.
Might help.
